I’m telling you: the east coast is usually such a deterrent with its impatient attitude and summer humidity, however, I’m forever seduced by the food-ventures that are awaiting me there.

I realize that we are pretty spoiled here in San Francisco, but there is something exciting about the food scene on the east coast. From creative ethnic food to strict traditional fare, the sheer volume of undiscovered hole-in-the-wall joints and world-renowed restaurants always bring me back. I’m no Magellan, but I’m on a constant hunt to find the lesser known spots and revisit some classic favorites when I’m on the east coast. Here are a few of the most memorable bites from my recent foodie-vacay (snapped with Instagram). Enjoy!

It’s really decadent and rich. Not your typical pizza, but must-try!

YUM! Looks like you and Alejo had a great time, or at least your taste buds did. Any favorites out of the 9? I can’t wait for my next trip to NYC to check out Eataly (and come home with food souvenirs), last time I was there it was just about to open, but Andrew checked it out a few months ago and was quite enamored.

Also, let’s get together soon! I just finished up my first week of work at Sugar, which was pretty amazing, though quite frankly I’m exhausted, and have another busy week ahead of me (next week everyone is flying in from all of the offices for company wide training/our summer party). Maybe we can get together next weekend or sometime mid week the first week of July (next week is no way no how – I have a bunch of work events and Andrew’s sister is in town so I’m pretty adamantly sticking to having no plans on the one night I don’t have plans).

SO Exciting, Nicole!!! I can’t wait to hear about it. We’re in the process of moving into our new house so may not be completely free for the next 2 weeks. We’ll schedule something soon though!!!
